I took at 4 day tour to the southern Pantanal.  The Pantanal is the worlds largest swamp.  Suprisingly, being the dry season, there really was not much water.  An interesting quality in a swamp.  In the wet season, the water here rises about 3 meters and everything is under water.

This is a red macaw.  Basically a big, beautiful, very loud bird.
