As mentioned, there are a load of beavers in Tierra del Fuego (to the tune of 65,000).  This is bad news for forests and hikers who instead of forests find nothing but swamps and trees to climb over.

As revenge for 4 days of pain, after our hike, Adam and I decided to go to the local restaurant where beaver was on the menu.  They also conveinently had these two stuffed beavers that made too good of a photo op.
