Another kink we hadn't figured out is that although Adam's new stove burns kerosine as well as white gas, it burns kerosine about 10 times faster.  So after we made dinner our first night, we had used over half our fuel.  Not good when you are on a 4 to 5 day hike. 

We decided to make a little camp fire to cook over the second night, in order to ration our fuel.
