One of the things that is not captured by pictures is how fluid and changing the glaciers are.  There were spontaneous rivers running everywhere, merging and dropping off into huge holes.  It was beautiful, and a little nerve racking as you would come up over a chunk of ice right into a raging waterfall dropping off into nothingness.
